Graduating & The End of Vlogmas | News

Hey lovelies!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

The last week of Vlogmas for me was SO busy! I graduated with a Masters in Creative Writing which was really exciting & it was such a lovely day. The sun even managed to come out in December! It was much quieter than my last graduation – a little more low-key – but it was amazing to share it with my mum & sister. Unfortunately, I dropped my phone & smashed it after the graduation itself but I still managed to take some photos & even a video!

After I graduated, we went out for a lovely meal & drank some champagne 😉

I never would have dreamed that I would end up with a Masters of Arts degree. I hadn’t even thought about doing one while I was doing my first degree – I wasn’t even sure I was capable of doing one! It was an incredibly intense year but one that I won’t forget & one that has shaped my writing so much more than I thought it would. It was an honour to receive guidance from such wonderful tutors who are masters of their craft.

My point is this: don’t ever think you can’t. Don’t let anyone tell you what to do. Do whatever your heart tells you is right – it’s so cheesy but so true! And if you’re going through chemo right now, keep looking to the future & tell yourself that you will get there someday.

I got there. Even if I did have to take my heels off to walk back to the car- hehe!

[Inspirational speech over…]

The rest of the week consisted of seeing lots of family members, going to watch a beautiful sunrise at the beach & tasting some salted caramel liqueur.

I spent Christmas Eve at Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland & got absolutely terrified on the Ferris Wheel. It was my idea to go on it but I didn’t anticipate them stopping us for 10 minutes at the top!

It’s been such a lovely month & I really enjoyed daily vlogging. In fact, I think I may do it more often!

Love,

Allie x
